Cross Face Cradle

  • First thing when it comes to this move is you want to get your opponent flat on the mat
  • Now with your left hand/arm you want to crossface your opponent and when you crossface your opponents face/head to the right you want to grab onto his right shoulder.
  • Dont let up on the crossface, and keep your opponents head still facing to the right
  • Now with your right hand you want to stick it firmly on the mat in between your opponents thighs.
  • Next with your left arm you want to force your opponents head to go towards his right thigh
  • When you get his head close enough to his thigh then lock your hands together. But make sure you keep that crossface because this will make it harder for your opponent to try to escape
  • Now you can roll your opponent to his back
  • With your opponent on his back you want to use your right leg to lift his feet up in the air, the higher the better because this will make his shoulder blades rest on the mat more so you can pin him
  • Then put your left knee into your opponents side
  • Next push the side of your head into your opponents temple
  • From here you can get your back points and possibly a pin if both of his shoulder blades are touching the mat

   Wrestling Tips

  • First off you want to make that crossface be very painful for your opponent. Just make sure its a crossface and not a punch. But you can do crossfaces really hard. I have seen kids eyes swell all the way close due to crossfaces so you dont want to give your opponent any mercy. Just make sure you wont be penalized from it by the ref because it was more of a punch.
  • Make sure during the whole move you dont let up on the crossface when your grabbing onto your opponents right shoulder with your left hand. Keep it tight because it will make it harder for your opponent to fight the move
  • Remember when you go to lock your hands that you bring your opponents head to his leg and not the other way around. If you try to bring your opponents leg to his head it will be way more difficult due to the overpowering strength legs have over your arms.
  • When you roll your opponent to his back and lift his legs and stick your left knee into his side and push your head into his temple make sure you do all of these things will a lot of pressure and dont let up. If you keep the pressure on your opponent it will obviously be more painful and difficult to escape from.
