Fireman Carry

  • The first step to doing this move is by placing your right hand on your opponents neck and then your left hand on your competitors right arm
  • Also you can push your head against your opponents head but do not have it so you and your opponents ears are touching. The way you want to do it is so only the tops of each others heads are touching. This will leave more space for you to see and be able to take a shot
  • The most IMPORTANT piece to this move is your left hand, which at this point is grabbing your opponents right arm.
  • So make sure you grasp his arm tightly and also pin his arm against your arm/shoulder so it will be difficult for your opponent to release his arm
  • To shoot all you really have to do is drop to your knees
  • When you do shoot you want to remove your right hand from your opponents neck because when you drop to your knees you will use this hand to grab his right leg. You can grab anywhere on your opponents leg from his knee to his upper thigh
  • Once you have shot and still have a tight lock on your opponents right arm with your left hand and your right hand is locked around your opponents right leg you should have your head placed on the outside of your opponents right hip
  • To finish this move just straighten your back to get his feet off the mat
  • Then pull down on your arm that is holding your opponents right arm towards the mat
  • At the same time that you are doing the previous step you will throw your opponents legs/body over your head/body
  • As he goes to his back you need to pop your head out from between your opponents body and arm or else you are going to get stuck

Wrestling Tips

  • You must have a tight lock on your opponents right arm because if you don’t your opponent will be able to slip his arm out of your grip when you shoot and you will be in a position where he can take you down
  • Another thing that you should do before you shoot is pull your opponent towards you so that he steps towards you with his right leg. Then when he does this you can then shoot and grab onto that leg with your free hand.
  • Make sure you don't get your head stuck when you take your opponent to the mat or else he will lock his arm around your head and you guys will have to muscle each other until either someone overpowers the other, or the ref calls a stalemate.
