      Over Underhook Hip Toss

  • First off you need to get a underhook and a overhook on your opponent. Another option you have is to get a underhook and instead of a overhook you can use your other arm and grab your opponents free arms wrist.

- If you don't know what an overhook and underhook is then here it is real quick. A underhook is when you reach one of your arms under one of your opponents armpits. If your doing it right then your bicep will be up against your opponents armpit. Then for a overhook you reach one of your arms around one of your competitors arms so in the end your arm will be in front of you and your opponent

  •  If your underhook is with your right arm then you will step with your right foot in front of your opponents right foot
  • Also you want to bend your knees so that your hips are lower than your competitors
  • At this point your lower back should be up against your opponents chest/ stomach
  • Now you can straighten your legs so your opponent is off the ground
  • Lift up with your underhook and pull down your overhook to the mat. Do the same thing if instead of an overhook your holding your opponents wrist
  • After this your opponent will land on his back and you'll be on your side

   Wrestling Tips

  • Make sure that your hooks are tight. If they aren't then it will be very easy for your opponent to escape
  • It is very important that you make sure that you lower your hips below your opponents hips. This will make it easier to lift your opponent off the mat
  • Always Remember, lift with your Legs and not your Back. You can lift much heavier things with ease with your legs when compared to using your back. Also if you lift with your back you will be a lot more prone to injury
  • When you take your opponent to the mat make sure that you have complete control the whole time, if you end up losing control then your opponent has the ability to reverse the move on you and end up taking you to your back.
